Call Back
Life is a steep climb, and it does the heart good to have somebody "call back" and cheerily beckon us on up the high hill. We are climbers together, and we must help one another. This mountain climbing is serious business, but glorious. It takes strength and steady steps to find the summits. The outlook widens with the altitude. If anyone among us has found anything worthwhile, we ought to "call back."
If you have gone a little way ahead of me, call back-. It will cheer my heart and help my feet along the stony track. And if, by chance, Faith's light is dim, because the oil is low, your call will guide my lagging course as wearily I go.
Call back, and tell me that He went with you into the storm; Call back, and say He kept you when the forest's roots were torn; That, when the heavens thunder and the earthquake shook the hill, He bore you up and held you where the very air was still.
Oh, friend, call back , and tell me for I cannot see your face; They say it glows with triumph, and your feet bound in the race; But there are mists between us and my spirit eyes are dim, And I cannot see the glory, though I long for word of Him.
But if you'll say He heard you when your prayer was but a cry, And you'll say He saw you through the night's sin-darkened sky-If you have gone a little way ahead, oh, friend, CALL BACK....it will cheer my heart and help my feet along the stony track.

If you've been comforted, today is a day to offer comfort. If you've been loved, this is your day to offer His love. If you've been forgiven, this is a day for forgiveness.

Hi Yanna,
This was so encouraging. I love reading your blog entries, they are almost like a mini devotional for me these days. I love ya, and your life is a testimony to many others. Thanks for taking the time to give others the opportunity to be encouraged on this site.

Hi Yanna,
I'm just getting a chance to get caught up. I got tears in my eyes as I read this one. What encouragement for us all to know that we can look to those who've gone ahead of us through trials and tests and have come out on the other side of them victorious. Those of us who have triumphed can help those who still need a "leg up" as it were, and those of us who need that "leg up" can look to those who've made it as encouragement that God is here for us all and will bring us out of whatever we're going through triumphant.
You're a blessing!
Suzanne
